Top 3 Tips to Prepare for Your Wedding Day

Your wedding day is one of the most memorable moments of your life—and as a bridal artist who has worked with hundreds of beautiful brides, I know how important it is to feel confident, calm, and radiant. Here are my top 3 expert tips to help you prepare for your big day:

1. Prep Your Skin Early

Bridal makeup looks its best on well-hydrated, healthy skin. Begin a simple skincare routine at least 3–6 months in advance. Focus on gentle exfoliation, moisturizing, and consistent SPF use. Keeping it simple is better than trying multiple harsh products that may irritate your skin! I always recommend hydrafacials once a month leading up to your wedding to help your skin looks its best and smooth out any texture on the skin. (For my brides, I include an Ultimate Bridal Beauty Guide with a few reminders to help with bridal beauty preps!)

Pro tip: Drink plenty of water in the week leading up to your wedding—it’s the ultimate beauty hack for that bridal glow.

2. Finalize Your Vision with a Bridal Consultation

Instead of an in-person trial, I offer a 30-minute phone consultation to walk through your completed Bridal Collaboration Form. This includes a detailed discussion of your inspiration photos, wedding details, and the overall vision you have for your bridal look. This call ensures that we’re completely aligned and allows me to curate a personalized glam experience for you.

Pro tip: Be as detailed as possible in your form—include photos of your outfit, jewelry, preferred makeup styles, and hairstyles. The more you share, the better I can bring your dream look to life!

3. Create a Relaxed Morning Timeline

The wedding morning sets the tone for your entire day, so having a calm, well-paced schedule is key. I typically reserve 5 hours for bridal appointments to allow ample time for everything—skin prep, hair, makeup, jewelry and dupatta setting, as well as built-in moments for bathroom breaks, light meals, and any unexpected delays. This ensures you’re not rushed and can truly enjoy the getting-ready process.

Pro tip: Prepare a light breakfast, keep a calming playlist on hand, and surround yourself with positive, grounding energy. Designate a trusted friend or family member to help manage small tasks so you can stay in your bridal bubble. You deserve to feel relaxed and radiant as you step into your big day!
